Bethesda were of course one of the first major players in the DLC game (back with 2006s Elder Scrolls IV), and sparked unrest among fans by trying to charge $3 for a crappy piece of horse armour. Todd Howard, Director and Producer of Skyrim has revealed that DLC for his beyond-epic RPG is already in the making but promises to subscribe to a less-is-more ethos when delivering this extra content. And despite the fact that Ill probably still be playing the main game on my death bed, Im already starting to muse over the inevitable Downloadable Content, gaming addict as I am. Well, its been a long weekend of sword swinging, shield bashing, pocket-picking and spell-slinging and I bet we can all say were pretty much hooked. Were all aware of the near time/space fracturing commercial success of Modern Warfare 3, as reported on WhatCulture! (I mean it outsold the opening weekends of all eight Harry Potter movie combined, taking upwards of £80mil), but its not only a great time for the FPS the R.P.G also gets a bold new defender in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Theres something of a gaming renaissance happening right now.
